COVFEFE ‘Stupidity’ refusal to accept Election result may have a severe implication on US foreigner policy

Trump ‘Stupidity’ refusal to accept Election result has a severe implication on US foreigner policy.

In refusing to say whether he would accept the result of the presidential election Trump may have plunged US into the hands of dictators around the world. He may have tainted 240 years of one of the basic foundations of American democracy, the most powerful moral weapon that US has to shame dictatorial regimes across the globe.

Trump’s shocking answer on respecting election results and in jailing his opponent after he win, are the only golden moments of 2016 US election that matters for dictators around the world. A refusal by Mr Trump to accept defeat would effectively give license to other countries to halt US foreign policy from schooling them about democracy. The institution of the American Presidency itself may be worryingly undermined. In keeping American democracy in suspense, Trump is not only lack of civil-spiritedness, anti-American, unpatriotic, and dangerous, but he is right now undermining the work of US diplomats across the world about democracy and rule of law. If Trump’s position becomes the new normal, if future candidates and life presidents all over the world refuse to respect the voters’ will, democracy may not remain the most important society political organisation of our time. Trump may or may not know it, but democracies require public legitimacy for their survival. When powerful actors withhold that legitimacy, the system crumbles legitimizing coups.

I am not worried about Trump here because I now he doesn't have the same incentive to be big-hearted person. I know for months now, Hillary has been arguing that Trump represents a threat to American democracy. On Wednesday Trump made that point more effectively than anyone could ever have dreamed that he is not only threat to American but world Democracy. I know that Trump handed the rope with which America will hang him with glee but the world and democracy will never be the same again.

In fact, to avoid the poisonous words of Trump echoing in Africa, I think The African Union should send an election monitoring team. In addition, AU act issuing an urgent statement to repudiate the violent language of these American elections and call on the parties to accept the will of the people, and avoid making statements that endanger the gains of democracy.

AU should also appoint a special envoy to go to meet Donald Trump and GOP in Washington and urge that it respects democratic institutions and avoid inciting violence or acts of revenge by their supporters.

At Hillary Clinton and the DNC, the envoy, should demand to refrain from using the state media and its influence in the press during the election campaign.

Trump's worst answer may also be the downfall of American Diplomacy? Only time will tell
